Q: Who produces this event?

A: Technocon is the result of a partnership between the University of Alberta and the City of Edmonton's IT departments/branches.

 

Q: Who can attend and how much does it cost to attend?

A: Technocon 2010 was open to all University of Alberta and City of Edmonton IT Staff free of charge and we hope to be able to offer Technocon 2011 for free as well.

 

Q: I'm not a UofA or CoE IT employee, is it possible for me to attend?

A: Although we may considering open Technocon to additional organizations in the future, at this time Technocon is only open to UofA and CoE IT employees and invited guests.

 

Q: You said that space will be limited at this event. Why?

A: We are fortunate that the School of Business is available at a time and cost that work for both the City and the UofA; however, the keynote seating is limited to 450 therefore the conference attendance must be limited.

 

Q: When and where is this event taking place?

A: Technocon 2010 was held May 5/6, 2010 at the School of Business on the University of Alberta's main campus. 

The dates and location for Technocon 2011 have not been set.

 

Q: How do I register for the Technocon conference?

A: Registration will be available from the homepage of this website.

 

Q: Who will be speaking at this event?

A: Technocon 2010 had a terrific line-up of presenters from the UofA, the CoE, the Edmonton community and across North America.
